Regional Sales Manager Full Time

The Regional Sales Manager – Western Cape is a key high-ownership leadership position focused on driving aggressive sales growth and expanding market presence within the highly competitive nicotine and vaping category. In this role, you will take full commercial responsibility for developing and executing targeted territory strategies, directly managing and mentoring a high-performing field sales team, and fostering deeply entrenched relationships with major retail key accounts (SPAR, Pick n Pay, Shoprite), wholesalers, and petrol station forecourt groups to smash regional revenue targets.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and execute targeted regional sales strategies to achieve revenue targets and expand market share across all retail, wholesale, forecourt, and independent channels.
• Lead, coach, and hold accountable the regional field sales team, key account representatives, and merchandisers to drive disciplined, measurable in-trade execution.
• Build and maintain deep commercial relationships with regional buyers and managers at major accounts including SPAR, Pick n Pay, Shoprite, and all major petrol station forecourt groups.
• Conduct regular territory analysis and monitor competitor activity, pricing, and ranging in-region to identify growth opportunities and protect market position.
• Collaborate with cross-functional corporate teams, including Finance on credit risk and Marketing on regional promotional calendars and trade activations.
• Monitor and report accurately on weekly and monthly sales performance metrics, providing reliable regional forecasts to support production planning and stock allocation.
• Facilitate regular field accompaniments and ongoing training to enhance product knowledge, brand merchandising standards, and sales techniques.
• Drive new business development by actively prospecting, pitching, and closing new retail, wholesale, and independent trade accounts across the Western Cape.
