Operations Assistant Contract

We are looking for an organised and customer-focused Operations Assistant to support the Operations team with the delivery of major exhibitions and events.

The successful candidate will provide administrative and operational support, manage exhibitor communications, maintain accurate records and assist with event logistics and administration. The role will have a strong customer service focus and may involve international travel, potentially to Munich.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the Operations Manager and wider Operations team with the delivery of exhibitions and events.
• Provide a high standard of customer service to exhibitors and other stakeholders.
• Monitor and respond to exhibitor emails promptly, clearly and accurately.
• Escalate more complex queries where required.
• Maintain accurate operational records, trackers, forms and contact information.
• Assist with exhibitor documentation, including health and safety information and special requirements.
• Liaise with colleagues, venues, contractors and suppliers to obtain and communicate event information.
• Ensure information is accurate and deadlines are met.
• Provide administrative and on-site support during events.
• Assist with operational projects and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Support sustainability-related activities.
• Travel internationally, potentially to Munich, when required.

Minimum Requirements

• Previous experience in event operations, exhibitions or event support.
• Customer service experience, including responding to customer or exhibitor enquiries via email.
• Excellent written and spoken English.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Experience working with detailed information, records and deadlines.
• Strong organisational and administrative skills.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Word, Excel and Outlook.
• Ability to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines.
• Willingness and ability to travel internationally when required.

Advantageous Experience

• Experience within the trade show, exhibition or events industry.
• Experience working on international exhibitions or events.
• Exposure to sustainability within events or operations.
• International work experience.
• Experience using Salesforce CRM.
• Experience with AutoCAD LT or similar floor-plan software.
• German language skills.
• Event management qualification.
• Relevant health and safety training.
