We’re Hiring: Experienced Toolmaker

Location: Isando, South Africa

Are you a skilled Toolmaker with a passion for precision engineering and mould maintenance? Join a leading player in the plastic packaging industry and work with a dedicated team in a dynamic, high-performance environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manufacture, maintain, and repair precision moulds and components according to technical drawings and specifications

• Operate and maintain Toolroom machinery and equipment safely and efficiently

• Perform fault finding and root cause analysis on moulds and related components

• Liaise with management and production teams regarding production tooling issues and solutions

• Prioritise workload according to business requirements and project schedules

• Assess condition of returned tooling and initiate works orders as required

• Keep accurate records and documentation for maintenance and repairs

• Uphold Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and ensure compliance with FSSC standards

• Maintain a clean, organised, and safe work environment in line with Health & Safety protocols

• Support continuous improvement initiatives in tooling design, processes, and efficiency

• Contribute to quality assurance processes and ensure tooling meets product quality standards

Minimum Requirements:

• Grade 12 (Matric)

• N2 Certificate minimum

• Trade Tested Tool Jig and Die Maker (MERSETA)

• 10+ years’ experience in a manufacturing/toolroom environment

• Proficient in Lathe, Milling, Surface Grinding, and fault finding

• Solid experience with extrusion blow moulding, injection moulding, and stretch blow moulding

Salary: Negotiable
