Warehouse Manager Full Time

A leading plastics company situated in Cape Town is urgently seeking the expertise of an experienced Warehouse Manager to join their team.

Responsibilities

• Strategically manage warehouse in compliance with company’s policies and vision
• Oversee receiving, warehousing, distribution and maintenance operations
• Setup layout and ensure efficient space utilization
• Initiate, coordinate and enforce optimal operational policies and procedures
• Adhere to all warehousing, handling and shipping legislation requirements
• Maintain standards of health and safety, hygiene and security
• Manage stock control and reconcile with data storage system
• Audit and report inventory while making recommendations on which items to order and restock
• Cycle counting of stock is performed throughout the month and all variances investigated and resolved before month end
• Cross department issue and receiving of stock in the form of raw materials and finished goods and investigate and resolve differences between theoretical and actual issues/receipts on a daily basis
• Prepare annual budget
• Liaise with clients, suppliers and transport companies
• Plan work rotas, assign tasks appropriately and appraise results
• Recruit, select, orient, coach and motivate employees
• Produce reports and statistics regularly (IN/OUT status report, obsolete stock report etc.)
• Receive feedback and monitor the quality of services provided
• Communicate with other departments to achieve overall effective results
• Responsible for security of stock and implementing procedures to pick up on discrepancies immediately
• Manage all company vehicles, vehicle licensing and making sure the vehicles are always roadworthy, neat and well maintained

 Requirements

• BS degree or diploma in logistics, supply chain management or business administration
• Valid driver’s license
• Valid forklift license
