Warehouse Manager – Supply Chain Industry – R500K – R400K
Hire Resolve’s client is a leading plastics company situated in Cape Town, which is urgently seeking the expertise of an experienced Warehouse Manager to join their team.
Responsibilities:
- Strategically manage warehouse in compliance with company’s policies and vision
- Oversee receiving, warehousing, distribution and maintenance operations
- Setup layout and ensure efficient space utilization
- Initiate, coordinate and enforce optimal operational policies and procedures
- Adhere to all warehousing, handling and shipping legislation requirements
- Maintain standards of health and safety, hygiene and security
- Manage stock control and reconcile with data storage system
- Audit and report inventory while making recommendations on which items to order and restock
- Cycle counting of stock is performed throughout the month and all variances investigated and resolved before month end
- Cross department issue and receiving of stock in the form of raw materials and finished goods and investigate and resolve differences between theoretical and actual issues/receipts on a daily basis
- Prepare annual budget
- Liaise with clients, suppliers and transport companies
- Plan work rotas, assign tasks appropriately and appraise results
- Recruit, select, orient, coach and motivate employees
- Produce reports and statistics regularly (IN/OUT status report, obsolete stock report etc)
- Receive feedback and monitor the quality of services provided
- Communicate with other departments to achieve overall effective results
- Responsible for security of stock and implementing procedures to pick up on discrepancies immediately
- Manage all company vehicles, vehicle licensing and making sure the vehicles are always roadworthy, neat and well maintained
Requirements:
- BS degree or diploma in logistics, supply chain management or business administration
- Valid driver’s license
- Valid forklift license
