Senior Bookkeeper
Hire Resolve is seeking an experienced, detail-oriented Senior Bookkeeper to manage the full accounting function for a portfolio of property clients for a leading managing agency based in Bellville, Northern Suburbs. Reporting directly to the Financial Manager, this position oversees complete monthly management packs, municipal reconciliations, annual budget presentations, and statutory submissions within a dynamic property management environment.
Key Performance Areas:
Portfolio Accounting: Oversee the full accounting lifecycle for a portfolio of approximately 30 residential and commercial property clients.
Reconciliations & Cash Management: Execute daily bank statement imports, bank reconciliations, municipal recons, and control/suspense account reconciliations.
Debtors & Creditors Operations: Process debtor receipting, utility recoveries, billing, statement runs, debit order processing, and timeous supplier payments.
Financial Reporting & Governance: Post adjustment/accrual journals, assemble monthly management packs, prepare annual budgets, and assist with annual audit processes.
AGM Presentation & Client Liaison: Present financial statements at Annual General Meetings (AGMs) and liaise directly with property owners and trustees.
Statutory Compliance: Handle timeous submissions and calculations for VAT and PAYE.
Minimum Requirements:
Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Senior Bookkeeper. Prior experience inside the property management or real estate sector is highly advantageous.
Language Proficiency: Complete fluency in both English and Afrikaans (essential for stakeholder engagement and AGM presentations).
Education: Relevant tertiary accounting qualification and/or equivalent practical experience.
Citizenship: South African Citizens only.
Logistics: Valid driver’s licence and own reliable vehicle.
Attributes: Customer-focused, highly structured, strong verbal/written communication, and a positive, can-do attitude.
Position Details:
Location: Bellville / Northern Suburbs, Cape Town (Onsite).
Remuneration: R300,000 – R360,000 CTC per annum (Up to R30,000 pm, dependent on experience).
Target Start Date: 01 October 2026 (or earlier if available).
