Senior Bookkeeper – Food Industry – Benoni Full Time

Hire Resolve’s Client in the food industry is urgently seeking a Senior Bookkeeper. The company is looking for a highly skilled and experienced individual to manage their financial records and ensure accurate bookkeeping functions. You would be Responsible for recording and maintaining a business’ financial transactions, such as purchases, expenses, sales revenue, invoices, and payments.

Responsibilities

• Record and maintain financial transactions and documents
• Monthly general ledger reconciliations.
• Cash books for 2 companies ( 5 Bank Accounts)
• Authorizes local payments.
• Prepares and oversees payments.
• Approves creditor’s recons and loads payments in the banking system.
• Weekly sales reporting.
• Liaise with both internal and external audit teams.
• Credit control for both site divisions
• Understanding of VAT within transactions.
• Update finance lease for both divisions.
• Process accounts payable and receivable, including invoicing and payments
• Complete bank reconciliations and ensure accurate cash flow management
• Prepare and review financial statements, including balance sheets and income statements
• Assist in budgeting and forecasting processes
• Collaborate with internal departments and external stakeholders to ensure financial compliance

• Minimum of 5 years’ experience as a Bookkeeper in the food industry
• Good knowledge and experience of Syspro and Excel.
• Solid knowledge with general ledger reconciliations.
• Experience with accounting for finance leases.
• Degree, diploma or certificate in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
