Position: Senior Bookkeeper
Location: Johannesburg
Overview:
Hire Resolve is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Bookkeeper to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing all accounting and financial tasks for the organization, including overseeing the preparation of financial statements, maintaining accurate financial records, and performing month-end and year-end closing procedures.
Responsibilities:
– Manage all aspects of the organization’s accounting and financial operations
– Ensure all financial transactions are accurately recorded in the company’s accounting system
– Prepare and review financial statements on a monthly and yearly basis
– Perform month-end and year-end closing procedures
– Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable processes
– Reconcile bank accounts and credit card statements
– Prepare and process payroll and ensure compliance with all payroll regulations
– Assist with budgeting and forecasting activities
– Provide financial analysis and reporting to senior management
– Maintain financial policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulations
– Train and mentor junior accounting staff
Qualifications:
Must have a matric and a relevant degree/dipoma will be an advantage.
Minimum 5 years of verifiable work experience.
Must be able to do Management Accounts and Trial Balance from source documents. Complete Cashbook with
all recons balanced. (Vat, UIF, PAYE, Bank recons).
Must have experience working on multiple books.
Must have Payroll experience.
Must be experienced in Pastel, Sage, Quickbooks Online and VIP Classic payroll.
Workable knowledge of Workmans Compensation.
Strong admin skills and attention to detail.
Ability to work independently, responsibly and under pressure. Ability to make targets and meet deadlines.
Fluent in English and Afrikaans.
To join an existing bookkeeping department and handle a portfolio of monthy clients in different industries.
Must have own car as some clients are off-site.
Travel is fully reimbursive monthly.
