Job Description:
Hire Resolve is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Accountant to join our client’s educational institution in Pretoria. The Senior Accountant will be responsible for overseeing all financial activities within the organization, ensuring accuracy and compliance with relevant regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Prepare and analyze financial reports, budgets, and forecasts
2. Manage the accounting team and oversee day-to-day operations
3. Monitor financial transactions and ensure proper recording of income and expenses
4. Ensure compliance with tax laws and regulations
5. Conduct regular audits to identify potential financial risks or discrepancies
6. Develop and implement financial policies and procedures
7. Collaborate with other department heads to provide financial guidance and support
8. Stay up-to-date on industry trends and changes in accounting standards
Qualifications and Experience:
1. BCom degree in Accounting or related field
2. Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting or finance, preferably in the educational industry
3. Strong knowledge of accounting principles and regulations
4. Articles is a plus (SAICA)
5. Excellent communication and leadership skills
6. Proficiency in accounting software and MS Office Suite
