Professional Civil Engineer Full Time

Hire Resolve’s client is currently seeking a Professional Civil Engineer to join their team. The successful candidate will play a key role in the planning, design, and implementation of municipal infrastructure projects in the Bellville/Paarl area. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the development and improvement of essential infrastructure while working in a dynamic and collaborative environment.

Responsibilities:

• Plan, design, and manage municipal infrastructure projects, including water supply, piping systems, stormwater management, and development contributions (DCs).
• Conduct feasibility studies, site investigations, and engineering assessments to inform project planning and design decisions.
• Prepare detailed engineering designs, drawings, and specifications in accordance with regulatory standards and client requirements.
• Coordinate with internal teams, external consultants, and regulatory authorities to obtain necessary approvals and permits for project implementation.
• Oversee construction activities, provide technical guidance and support to site teams, and ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.
• Conduct site inspections, quality control assessments, and compliance checks to ensure adherence to design specifications and regulatory requirements.
• Prepare project reports, progress updates, and presentations for clients, stakeholders, and regulatory agencies.
• Foster positive relationships with clients, contractors, and stakeholders through effective communication, collaboration, and problem-solving.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering (BSc Civil) from a recognized institution.
• Registered as a Professional Engineer (Pr Eng) with the Engineering Council of South Africa (ECSA).
• 5 to 10 years of relevant experience in civil engineering, with a focus on municipal infrastructure projects.
• Proficiency in Afrikaans language is essential for effective communication with clients and stakeholders in the Bellville/Paarl area.
• Strong technical skills in engineering design, project management, and construction supervision.
• Knowledge of relevant engineering software and tools for design, analysis, and project management.
• Familiarity with regulatory requirements, standards, and guidelines governing municipal infrastructure projects in South Africa.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and deliver high-quality results under tight deadlines.
