Pr Quantity Surveyor Full Time

Hire Resolve is currently recruiting for a highly motivated and experienced Professional Quantity Surveyor (PrQS) to join a leading firm in Cape Town, specializing in the building industry and government projects. In this role, you will be responsible for providing comprehensive quantity surveying services throughout the project lifecycle, from inception to completion.

As a PrQS, you will play a crucial role in ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards. You will collaborate with various stakeholders, manage costs effectively, and provide expert advice on procurement strategies.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare accurate cost estimates and budgets for building projects
• Manage and monitor project costs, including valuations and variations
• Provide advice on procurement strategies and contract administration
• Conduct site visits to assess project progress and quality
• Prepare tender documents and participate in the bidding process
• Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and standards
• Prepare and maintain project documentation and reports

Requirements: 

• Registered as a Professional Quantity Surveyor (PrQS) with SACQSP
• Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying or a related field
• A minimum of 5 years’ experience in the building industry and government projects
• Strictly Consulting Firm
• Strong knowledge of construction contracts and procurement processes
• Excellent analytical, numerical, and problem-solving skills
• Proficient in project management and quantity surveying software
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Willingness to travel to project sites as required
