An established organisation within the mining and resources industry is seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to join their team. The successful candidate will play a key role in providing specialist expertise, ensuring compliance with governance requirements, and supporting the achievement of strategic objectives.

Education: NQF 7 qualification (Bachelor’s degree or Advanced Diploma) in a relevant field.
Professional Registration: SAICA registration is mandatory.
Experience:
At least 5 years’ experience in a related role.
Minimum of 2 years at a supervisory level or within a specialist functional area.
Minimum of 4 years’ SOX-related experience.
Other Requirements:
Medically fit to work in the designated business area.
Clear security screening record.
Valid driver’s license (if applicable).
Provide technical financial and compliance expertise in line with statutory and regulatory requirements.
Lead and support audit and SOX compliance processes.
Oversee and guide team members to ensure accurate and timely reporting.
Collaborate with internal stakeholders to strengthen governance and risk management practices.
Monitor, review, and report on financial controls and processes.
Ensure adherence to company policies, procedures, and corporate governance frameworks.
Strong knowledge of financial reporting and compliance standards.
In-depth understanding of SOX requirements.
Proven leadership and supervisory skills.
High level of integrity and ethical conduct.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making ability.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
