Position: Construction Equipment Mechanic

Hire Resolves client is seeking an experienced Construction Equipment Mechanic to join their team in Wellington, Western Cape. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in repairing and maintaining construction equipment, such as bulldozers, excavators, and cranes.

Responsibilities:

• Inspect, diagnose, and repair construction equipment to ensure they are safe and operational
• Perform preventative maintenance on equipment to prevent breakdowns
• Troubleshoot and identify mechanical issues quickly and effectively
• Keep accurate records of repairs and maintenance performed
• Adhere to safety protocols and regulations at all times
• Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors
• Keep work area clean and organised

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a Construction Equipment Mechanic
• Certification or diploma in Heavy Equipment Mechanics or a related field
• Strong knowledge of construction equipment and their components
• Ability to read and interpret equipment manuals and schematics
• Excellent problem-solving skills
• Attention to detail
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Strong communication skills
• Physical stamina and ability to lift heavy objects
