Solutions Architect Full Time

A South African-based, cloud-first technology company specializing in voice, connectivity, and IT solutions for businesses, is seeking a Solutions Architect who will be responsible for defining the technical vision, designing scalable systems, and leading the architectural practice to ensure solutions align with customer requirements and industry standards.

Responsibilities:

• Solution Engineering: Design, document, and oversee the implementation of end-to-end technical solutions (including diagrams and technical specs).

• Integration: Lead the integration of new solutions with existing client systems and applications.

• Presales & Discovery: Conduct client workshops to gather requirements and translate business needs into robust technical architectures.

• Security & Compliance: Implement security best practices and ensure all designs comply with industry regulations.

• Technical Guidance: Provide expert oversight during the implementation phase to resolve technical challenges and ensure smooth transitions.

• Operational Readiness: Partner with Support and Product teams to document best practices, share knowledge, and improve troubleshooting processes.

• Strategic Input: Advise on product development based on market trends, emerging technologies, and client feedback.

• Relationship Building: Develop and maintain strong ties with key customers, vendors, and internal leadership.

• Risk Management: Proactively identify and communicate project risks or technical issues to relevant stakeholders.

Minimum Requirements:

• Education: Degree in IT, Information Systems, or Computer Engineering.

• Experience: 5+ years of proven experience as a Solution Architect (mandatory).

• Domain Knowledge: Professional proficiency in Networking, Telecommunications, Cloud, Security, and VoIP.

• Certifications: Recent vendor certifications (e.g., Microsoft, Cisco, Juniper, Fortinet) are highly regarded.

• Dynamic Architecting: Ability to design solutions in real-time and adapt to shifting requirements.

• Communication: Exceptional ability to “read the room” and present complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences.

• Analytical Thinking: Strong problem-solving skills with a focus on feasibility analysis and infrastructure design.

• Organizational Skills: Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
