Senior Geometric Design Engineer / Technologist Full Time

A leading multi-disciplinary consulting company in Cape Town is looking for a / to join their team!

Requirements:

• BEng or BTech
• Proficient in Civil Designer, AutoCAD and Civil3D design software
• Minimum of 8 years specific roads design experience is a pre-requisite
• Preferably registered with ECSA as a Pr Eng or Pr Tech Eng

Responsibilities:

• Highly competent in geometric design of roads and drawing production standards of national and provincial authorities
• Extensive experience in complex road projects involving freeway interchange design, major provincial roads, urban arterial roads, dual carriageways, major intersections, roundabouts, road marking, drainage etc.
• Work as part of a multi-disciplinary team, requiring co-ordination between discipline interfaces, such as, geotechnical, structures, materials, transportation, environmental etc
• Produce 3D visualization of road designs
• Preparation of road infrastructure design reports
• Preparation of tender documentation, including specifications, quantities, and cost estimates
• Experience with COLTO, COTO & general conditions of contract would be advantageous
• Site experience would be advantageous
