Quantity Surveyor Full Time

The Quantity Surveyor will be responsible for managing all aspects of commercial and industrial construction projects in Cape Town. This position will require experience in quantity surveying and a strong understanding of commercial and industrial construction processes.

Key Responsibilities:
– Prepare cost estimates and budgets for commercial and industrial construction projects
– Evaluate and negotiate subcontractor bids and contracts
– Monitor project costs and budgets throughout the construction process
– Prepare progress reports and cost analysis for clients and stakeholders
– Conduct cost analysis and value engineering to optimize project costs
– Prepare monthly valuations and cost reports
– Assist with contract administration and claims management

Requirements:
– Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying or related field
– Minimum of 5 years of experience in commercial and industrial construction projects
– Proficiency in cost estimating software and Microsoft Office Suite
– Strong communication and negotiation skills
– Ability to work independently and effectively manage multiple projects
– Knowledge of construction contracts and regulations in South Africa
