Quantity Surveyor Full Time

Hire Resolve is currently seeking a qualified Quantity Surveyor (QS) to join our client in Cape Town. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing all costs related to construction projects, from initial calculations to the final figures, ensuring that the project remains within budget. This position requires strong analytical skills and the ability to communicate effectively with various stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed cost estimates and budgets for construction projects
• Monitor project progress and analyze variances from the budget
• Conduct feasibility studies and risk assessments
• Negotiate contracts and manage claims disputes
• Prepare progress reports and financial forecasts
• Collaborate with project managers and other professionals to ensure project success
• Provide advice on contractual and financial matters throughout the project lifecycle

Requitements:

• BSc or BTech in Quantity Surveying or a related field
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in quantity surveying, preferably in the construction industry
• Proficient in cost estimation software and Microsoft Office Suite
• Strong understanding of construction contracts and local regulations
• Excellent analytical and mathematical skills
• Strong negotiation and communication skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel to project sites as needed
