Location: Western Cape and Northern Cape, South Africa

Job Overview:

Hire Resolve is currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced Professional Structural Engineer/Technologist to join our client’s team for a special maintenance of structures project based in the Western and Northern Cape. The candidate should be experienced in SANRAL projects.

As a Professional Structural Engineer/Technologist, you will be responsible for designing and overseeing the construction of various structures, such as buildings, bridges, and towers. You will collaborate with architects, contractors, and other professionals to ensure that projects are delivered successfully and according to client needs.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and analyze structures using relevant software and codes
• Prepare construction drawings and specifications
• Conduct site inspections to monitor construction progress and ensure compliance with design specifications
• Collaborate with architects, contractors, and other professionals to develop design concepts and solutions
• Manage multiple projects simultaneously and ensure timely delivery
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and technologists
• Stay up to date with industry trends, codes, and regulations

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree or National Diploma in Civil Engineering or Structural Engineering
• Professional registration with ECSA (Pr Eng or Pr Tech Eng)
• Minimum of 10 years’ experience in structural engineering
• Proven track record with SANRAL projects
• Proficient in relevant structural design software
• Strong technical skills and knowledge of structural engineering principles
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
