Professional Quantity Surveyor Full Time NEW

Hire Resolve’s client is urgently seeking the expertise of a Professional Quantity Surveyor in Durban.

𝐑𝐞𝐬𝐩𝐨𝐧𝐬𝐢𝐛𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐞𝐬:

• Cost plans / Elemental estimates from architectural drawings
• Overall budget preparation incorporating services engineering budgets
• Understanding of how to implement escalation within the industry
• Basic knowledge of how a financial feasibility is structured
• Understanding of the JBCC construction contract and how to implement it
• Measurement of BOQ’s for principal and subcontract tender documentation including the drafting of the contract conditions and putting together tender preliminaries
• Cost and budget control of the principal and subcontracts throughout the project including monthly valuation, project payment summaries, monthly cost reporting
• Understanding of how to carry out contract value engineering
• Measuring and negotiating final accounts with principal contractors and subcontractors

𝐑𝐞𝐪𝐮𝐢𝐫𝐞𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐬:

• +5 years experience in commercial building projects such as hotels, retail and mixed-use developments
• BSc. in Quantity Surveying or higher
• Ideally registered with the SACQSP as a Professional Quantity Surveyor or with RICA
• Proficient in WinQS and DimX
• Must have Experience in Commercial and Residential projects
