PR Structural Engineer Full Time

Hire Resolve’s client is seeking a Professional Registered (PR) Structural Engineer to join our dynamic team in Cape Town. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, analyzing, and overseeing the construction of various structural projects. The role requires strong technical expertise, problem-solving abilities, and experience in delivering innovative and cost-effective structural solutions.

Responsibilities:

• Lead structural design and analysis for residential, commercial, and industrial projects.

• Ensure compliance with local and international structural design codes and standards.

• Prepare structural calculations, drawings, and specifications.

• Conduct site inspections and provide technical support during construction phases.

• Collaborate with architects, contractors, and other engineering disciplines.

• Perform structural assessments and evaluations of existing structures.

• Assist in project management, including budgeting, scheduling, and reporting.

• Mentor junior engineers and provide guidance on technical challenges.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Civil/Structural Engineering.

• Professional Registration with ECSA (Engineering Council of South Africa) is mandatory.

• Minimum 3 years of structural engineering experience registration experience.

• Proficiency in structural analysis software (e.g., Prokon, Etabs, SAP2000, Revit).

• Strong knowledge of South African building regulations and SANS codes.

• Experience with reinforced concrete, steel, timber, and masonry structures.

• Experience in seismic and wind load analysis.

• Familiarity with BIM (Building Information Modelling) and CAD software.

• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.

• Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
