O&M Technician – Renewable Engineering Industry Full Time

Hire Resolve’s client in the Solar Energy industry is urgently seeking the expertise of an Operations and Maintenance Technician in Somerset West, Cape Town.

Responsibilities:

• Perform site inspections as required in preparation for Operations & Maintenance (O&M) after project completion.
• Schedule and conduct maintenance and repairs on all related components of a PV system.
• Complete O&M inspection checklists.
• Send monthly performance reports to the Head of O&M.
• Liaise with the Head of O&M for resource requirements, including the Bill of Materials when needed.
• Manage client relations specific to O&M.
• Maintain and develop department documentation related to O&M.
• Stay up to date with the latest Solar Performance Standards.
• Check DC compliance.
• Conduct project site production runs and site visits in preparation for handover to the O&M department.

Requirements:

• Qualified Electrician or minimum 5 years’ experience in a similar role.
• IT/Communications and Solar knowledge/experience.
• Proficiency in Excel, excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Valid driver’s license.
