Mechanical Fire Engineer Full Time

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Mechanical Fire Engineer to join our team in Midrand. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mechanical engineering with a specialization in fire protection systems.

Responsibilities:
– Design and oversee the installation of fire protection systems, including sprinkler systems, fire alarms, and smoke detectors
– Conduct site surveys and assessments to identify potential fire hazards and recommend solutions
– Create detailed engineering drawings and specifications for fire protection systems
– Collaborate with architects, builders, and other engineers to ensure fire protection systems meet building codes and regulations
– Perform regular inspections and maintenance on fire protection equipment to ensure functionality and compliance with standards
– Provide technical support and guidance to project teams during the construction phase
– Stay current with new developments in fire protection technology and regulations

Qualifications:
– Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
– Professional Engineer (Pr. Eng) registration is preferred
– Minimum of 5 years of experience in mechanical engineering with a focus on fire protection systems
– Strong knowledge of building codes and regulations related to fire protection systems
– Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, and other engineering software
– Excellent communication and teamwork skills
– Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines
