Junior Accountant Full Time

Hire Resolve’s Client is currently seeking a dedicated Junior Accountant to join their finance team in Pietermaritzburg. This opportunity is ideal for an entry-level candidate looking to kickstart their career in accounting and gain hands-on experience in a supportive and dynamic environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist with general accounting tasks, including accounts payable and receivable
• Help prepare and maintain accurate financial records and reports
• Contribute to the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
• Perform bank reconciliations and assist with payroll processing
• Support financial audits and assist with the resolution of discrepancies
• Participate in budgeting and forecasting activities
• Support the team with ad-hoc finance-related tasks as needed

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• 0-2 years of relevant accounting experience (internships are a plus)
• Proficiency in MS Excel and accounting software
• Strong attention to detail and analytical skills
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Strong organizational and time management skills
