A leading investment and logistics solutions company is looking for an experienced Fleet Controller with strong expertise in managing trucking operations, vehicle scheduling, and route optimization to join their team in Sandton. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in overseeing fleet efficiency, ensuring compliance with transport regulations, and coordinating with drivers to achieve operational targets.
Responsibilities:
Manage and monitor the daily operations of the fleet, ensuring timely deliveries and collections.
Schedule and allocate vehicles and drivers for optimal efficiency.
Monitor vehicle maintenance schedules and coordinate necessary servicing or repairs.
Ensure compliance with all relevant transport and safety regulations.
Maintain accurate records of fleet usage, fuel consumption, and maintenance costs.
Liaise with clients, drivers, and management to resolve operational issues promptly.
Requirements:
Matric (Grade 12) or equivalent qualification.
Minimum of 5 years’ experience in fleet or trucking control.
Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
Proficiency in fleet management systems and basic computer skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
South African citizenship.
