Financial Accountant – Manufacturing – Pietermaritzburg Full Time NEW

Hire Resolve’s client,  a well-established manufacturing company in Pietermaritzburg , is urgently seeking a skilled Financial Accountant. As the Financial Accountant, you will play a crucial role in managing and maintaining the financial records of the company and ensuring accurate financial reporting.

In this role, you will be responsible for performing various accounting tasks, including month-end closing, account reconciliations, and financial analysis. You will also collaborate with cross-functional teams to support strategic decision-making and process improvement initiatives.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare and review financial statements
• Conduct monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closing activities
• Perform account reconciliations and identify and resolve any discrepancies
• Prepare and analyze financial reports
• Assist with budgeting and forecasting processes
• Support internal and external audits
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards and company policies
• Assist with process improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and effectiveness

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance – Honours 
• Articles preferred 
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in financial accounting, preferably in the manufacturing industry
• Knowledge of accounting principles and standards
• Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel
• Knowledge of Syspro, Caseware and e-filing
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Attention to detail and accuracy
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
• CPA or similar qualification is preferred
