Civil Engineer Full Time

Hire Resolve is seeking a skilled Civil Engineer / Irrigation Designer to join our client’s team in Nelspruit. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing various irrigation systems including drip, micro, and pivot irrigation, as well as pump stations, steel structures, and piping systems. Additionally, they will conduct site inspections, perform surveying tasks, compile schedules for quantity estimation, and collaborate closely with clients to ensure the most efficient design while meeting their goals.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design drip, micro, and pivot irrigation systems, pump stations, steel structures, and piping systems.
• Conduct site inspections and surveys to assess project requirements and constraints.
• Compile schedules for quantity estimation and project planning.
• Liaise with clients to understand their needs and goals and incorporate feedback into designs.
• Ensure designs comply with relevant regulations, standards, and best practices.

Requirements:

• Minimum of Grade 12 with Mathematics.
• Proven experience as a Civil Designer, specifically in surveying, terrain analysis, and water systems.
• Proficiency in Autodesk Civil 3D software.
• Strong Microsoft Office skills with emphasis on Excel for data analysis and reporting.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Fluency in English and Afrikaans, both written and verbal.
• A degree or diploma in Civil Engineering or Agriculture is advantageous.
• Completion of any relevant courses offered by the South African Irrigation Institute (SABI) is a plus.
• Strong problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Attention to detail and accuracy in design work.
• Time management skills to meet project deadline
