A well-established and highly reputable insurance company is seeking a visionary and strategic Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to join its executive leadership team. This role offers a unique opportunity for a seasoned finance professional to shape the financial direction of the organization, drive sustainable growth, and enhance operational performance. The CFO will be a trusted advisor to the CEO and Board, providing insight-driven financial leadership and ensuring robust governance, risk management, and compliance across all business units.
Responsibilities
Develop and execute the company’s financial strategy, aligned with long-term business objectives.
Lead financial planning, forecasting, reporting, and analysis to support informed decision-making.
Oversee risk management, regulatory compliance, and internal controls to safeguard the organization’s assets.
Provide strategic guidance on investment, capital allocation, and growth initiatives.
Partner with the executive team to influence business strategy, operational efficiency, and organizational performance.
Manage relationships with external stakeholders, including auditors, regulators, investors, and key business partners.
Drive a culture of high performance and accountability within the finance team and across the broader organization.
Lead M&A activities, business case evaluations, and other strategic initiatives as required.
Requirements
Chartered Accountant (CA) with Financial Services Provider (FSP) registration – Essential / Minimum
Certificate or Diploma in Treasury – Recommended / Desirable
MBA in Business Administration – Recommended / Desirable
Fitness for Duty – Essential / Minimum
Certified FAIS Professional – Recommended / Desirable
Minimum 10–12 years in operational finance, with at least 5–8 years in senior financial management or executive finance roles – Essential / Minimum
Proven track record in the insurance or financial services sector, ideally with exposure to regulatory compliance, risk management, and corporate governance – Recommended / Desirable
Knowledge & Skills:
Strong understanding of the insurance and financial services industry, corporate governance, and regulatory environment
Strategic thinker with excellent leadership, decision-making, and cross-functional collaboration skills
Ability to influence and engage stakeholders at all levels, including Board members, regulators, and external partners
High level of financial acumen, analytical capability, and operational insight
