Business Developer (B2B Sales) Full Time

A leading renewable energy company is looking for an experienced Business Developer with strong experience in B2B sales, business development, and client acquisition to join their team in Pretoria. The company provides commercial and residential solar energy solutions, with a strong focus on innovation, sustainability, and long-term client success. This role is ideal for a driven, results-oriented professional who can identify new opportunities, build strong client relationships, and contribute to business growth within the renewable energy sector.

Responsibilities:

• Identify and pursue new business opportunities by researching markets, generating leads, and developing commercial client acquisition strategies.
• Develop and execute business development plans to achieve growth targets.
• Manage the sales pipeline by tracking leads, qualifying prospects, and progressing opportunities through the sales process.
• Prepare and deliver impactful presentations and proposals to prospective clients.
• Execute outbound sales and marketing strategies to generate new business.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with commercial clients and key stakeholders.
• Collaborate with sales, marketing, and operations teams to ensure a seamless customer experience.
• Monitor solar energy industry trends, market developments, and competitor activity.
• Analyse sales data and performance to identify opportunities and refine business development strategies.

Requirements:

• Minimum 3 years’ experience in B2B sales and business development.
• Experience in renewable energy, engineering, solar, energy solutions, or a related technical field is advantageous.
• Proven ability to build strong client relationships and successfully close deals.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
• Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities.
• Proficiency with CRM systems such as HubSpot and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Highly self-motivated, proactive, and able to work independently.
• Strong commercial and business development acumen.
• Willingness to travel for client meetings and industry events.
