Accountant – Mining Full Time

Hire Resolve is currently seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Accountant to join our client’s team in the mining industry. As an Accountant, you will play a key role in managing the financial operations of our mining clients, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely reporting.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare, review, and analyze financial statements
• Manage general ledger and perform monthly reconciliations
• Oversee accounts payable and accounts receivable processes
• Monitor cash flow and prepare cash flow forecasts
• Prepare and submit tax returns and ensure compliance with tax regulations
• Assist with budgeting and forecasting
• Conduct financial analysis and provide insights to management
• Ensure compliance with accounting principles and industry regulations
• Support audit and financial review processes
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including finance, operations, and procurement

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• Minimum 3 years of experience as an Accountant, preferably in the mining industry
• Strong knowledge of mining-specific accounting principles and regulations
• Proficiency in accounting software and MS Excel
• Solid understanding of financial statements, general ledger, and financial reporting
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy
• Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• SAIPA or relevant professional certification is a plus
• Skilled with Pastel, Sage and Excel
