Third Party Logistics Manager – Supply Chain Industry Full Time

Hire Resolve’s client in the Supply Chain industry is urgently seeking the expertise of a Third Party Logistics Manager in Rosebank, Johannesburg.

Responsibilities

• Maintain positive relationships with government departments (e.g., Department of Trade and Industry, Transport), regional distribution/logistics/warehouse managers, vehicle manufacturers/finance houses, business advisors, local authorities, and other stakeholders.
• Lead Route to Market strategy execution, collaborating with distribution services and warehouse managers.
• Develop and implement transportation plans and procedures.
• Address operational challenges.
• Oversee the transportation logistics control center.
• Monitor performance metrics.
• Manage owner driver budgets and spend.
• Lead governance (RACM) related to owner drivers.
• Manage the owner driver processing team.
• Conduct CAP assessments.
• Analyze distribution/transportation data.
• Develop strategic partnerships.
• Optimize transportation routes.
• Implement continuous improvement initiatives.
• Stay abreast of industry advancements.
• Resolve customer issues.
• Ensure compliance with transportation regulations.
• Monitor carrier performance.
• Develop a quality management system.
• Oversee owner driver/process/carrier compliance audits.
• Ensure safety and risk processes are followed.

Requirements

• A minimum of a B Com degree or related B Degree in Logistics, Transport, Business Management or Finance.
• A minimum of 5 to 8 years logistics experience, and owner driver management would be an added advantage.
