Test Automation Analyst Full Time

A company that provides services for vehicle recovery, personal safety, and fleet management is seeking a Test Automation Analyst to join the Development and Engineering division. The successful candidate will be a key driver in facilitating and implementing test automation within the testing team, communicating effectively across all levels.

Responsibilities:

• Test Planning & Strategy:

  • Develop the test plan, approach, and scope specifically for automation efforts.

  • Provide test effort estimates for projects.

  • Contribute to continuous improvement of test methodology and establish a robust approach for managing test data.

• Requirements & Scenario Development:

  • Review, analyze, and define automation targets and objectives with the Team Lead.

  • Analyze requirements for completeness and clarity, using them to shape detailed test scenarios and determine proper test coverage.

  • Trace requirements to test cases to verify test coverage.

• Test Execution & Reporting:

  • Manage personal test preparation, execution, and data creation.

  • Execute scenario-based test cases and analyze quality metrics.

  • Report status, trace coverage/clearance, and provide input to standard test metrics.

• Defect Management:

  • Debug the development and execution of test scripts.

  • Analyze test failures, log defects, and prioritize them with the development team.

Minimum Requirements:

• ISTQB – Foundation testing certification (Non-Negotiable)

• Relevant IT degree or diploma.

• Training/knowledge in Object-Orientated Programming (OOP).

• Experience in writing custom test applications.

• Training/experience with ReadyAPI, SOAPUI, and Visual Studio.

• Experience using SQL for Data Driven Testing.

• Experience working with Git repositories and branching strategies.

• Extensive experience developing test cases and scenarios from requirements.

• Proven experience in Automated test case development, estimation, and maintenance.

• Experience analyzing complex and technical design diagrams and specifications.

• Strong understanding of Quality Control and Quality Assurance concepts across the SDLC.

Desired (Preferable)

• ISTQB Advanced Test Analyst certification.
