Structural Engineer Contract

Hire Resolve is currently working with a leading engineering consulting firm in Cape Town who is seeking a skilled Structural Engineer to join their team. As a Structural Engineer, you will be responsible for designing and analyzing structures, ensuring their safety and integrity. You will work closely with architects and construction professionals to develop cost-effective and sustainable solutions.

Responsibilities:

• Design and analyze structures, such as buildings, bridges, and dams
• Ensure compliance with building codes and regulations
• Prepare technical drawings and specifications
• Perform structural calculations and simulations
• Collaborate with architects, construction professionals, and clients to develop innovative and efficient solutions
• Conduct site visits to assess structural conditions and provide recommendations
• Maintain documentation of design processes and project progress
• Stay updated with industry trends and advancements in structural engineering

Requirements: 

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering (BSc Civil Eng)
• Professional Engineer (Pr Eng) registration with ECSA
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in structural engineering
• Proficiency in structural analysis and design software
• Strong knowledge of building codes, regulations, and construction techniques
• Excellent technical and analytical skills
• Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Attention to detail and strong problem-solving abilities
• Willingness to travel to project sites as required
