Software Developer – 36 month contract Contract

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Software Developer with strong experience in Microsoft technologies and reporting tools, to join their team in Johannesburg, GP.   The ideal candidate will have a solid foundation in software development, with exposure to data integration, reporting, and database management.

Responsibilities: 

• Design, develop, and maintain .NET-based applications
• Build and maintain reports and dashboards using Power BI and Jasper Reports
• Perform data integration and reporting layer development
• Write and optimize SQL queries and database objects
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather and understand requirements
• Maintain code quality through version control (Git) and best practices
• Troubleshoot, debug, and enhance existing systems

Requirements: 

• Relevant 3-year IT qualification (Degree or Diploma in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field)
• Minimum 5 years’ development experience using the .NET / Microsoft Visual Studio framework
• Minimum 3 years’ experience working with MS SQL Server
• Minimum 1 year experience in each of the following:
  • Power BI integration tools (data modelling, reporting, dashboards)
  • Jasper Reports / iReports (report development and maintenance)
  • Git Bash / version control systems
