Senior Data Science Consultant Full Time NEW

A company that provides a privacy-preserving data collaboration platform that allows companies to securely share and analyze consumer data without exchanging raw information is seeking a full-time Senior Data Science Consultant with strong expertise in data science and strategic consulting to join their dynamic and growing Data Science team. 

Responsibilities: 

• Strategic Consulting: Support Sales and Consulting by analyzing client businesses, market trends, and developing data-driven strategic plans and roadmaps (growth, cost optimization, risk management).

• Client Leadership: Build strong client relationships, communicate complex findings effectively, and identify upsell/cross-sell opportunities for data products and services.

• Project Leadership: Scope, design, and lead data science/analytics projects, supervising data scientists/analysts and managing project delivery, timelines, and client communication.

• Advanced Analytics: Collect, clean, and analyze large datasets. Utilize statistical methods and Machine Learning techniques to build predictive models, forecasting algorithms, and innovative data products.

• Performance & Thought Leadership: Define and track KPIs. Stay current on industry trends (data science, alternative data, data collaboration) and contribute thought leadership.

Minimum Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree (Data Science, Engineering, Math, Stats, Comp Sci, or related). Postgraduate degree preferred.
• 7+ years in a senior-level data science role, including experience leading projects and supervising other data scientists.
• 3+ years proven experience in strategic consulting, management consulting, or a related field (data-driven decision-making focus).
• Experience with credit risk or pricing models in the financial industry.

• Programming: Strong proficiency in Python and SQL.

• Analytics: Strong proficiency and working experience with statistical methods, Machine Learning algorithms, and data mining.

• Data Visualization: Working knowledge of tools like Tableau, Power BI, etc.

• Big Data/Cloud: Experience with PySpark and distributed computing using Apache Spark within Azure Synapse.

• Highly Advantageous: Experience designing/developing Synapse Pipelines (integrating SQL, Spark, APIs, orchestration) and experience with Delta Lake / Delta Tables, Databricks, or other modern data lakehouse technologies.
