Senior Data Engineer Full Time

A secure payment solutions provider and aggregator that enables businesses to accept payments via various channels, including retail, digital, and mobile, catering to both banked and unbanked customers, is seeking a  proactive Senior Data Engineer to design, build, and maintain scalable data architectures.

Responsibilities:

• Data Pipeline Engineering: Design and maintain scalable ETL/ELT pipelines using Python, SQL, and cloud-native tools.

• Systems Integration: Harmonize data from transactional systems, accounting platforms (Sage, Xero), and CRMs.

• Warehouse Management: Develop and optimize data warehouse structures in SQL Server and PostgreSQL.

• Quality & Governance: Ensure data reliability through rigorous monitoring and implement governance best practices.

• Collaboration: Partner with architects and stakeholders to deliver fit-for-purpose data products.

• Strategy & Innovation: Contribute to technical strategy, research new technologies, and build Proof of Concepts (PoCs).

• Infrastructure Support: Manage version control, deployment processes, and disaster recovery planning.

Minimum Requirements:

• Education: Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or Mathematics.

• Experience: 8+ years in Data Engineering or a similar technical role.

• Technical Skills: High proficiency in SQL and Python; proven track record in pipeline architecture.

• Communication: Fluent in English with the ability to bridge the gap between technical teams and business stakeholders.

• Logistics: Must have own reliable transport.
