Senior Actuarial Analyst Full Time

Description

Hire Resolve’s Client is urgently seeking a Senior Actuarial Analyst to join their team in Johannesburg.

In this role, you will be responsible for performing complex actuarial analysis and providing valuable insights to support business decision-making. You will work closely with the actuarial team and other stakeholders to develop and implement financial models and strategies.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze and interpret insurance data to provide insights and recommendations
  • Perform actuarial valuations and calculations to support financial reporting and planning
  • Develop and maintain financial models to assess risks and estimate future outcomes
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize business performance and address key challenges
  • Stay updated with industry trends and regulatory changes
  • Present findings and recommendations to stakeholders in a clear and concise Manner

Requirements
  • Qualified or nearly qualified actuary with relevant professional qualifications
  • At least 3 years of experience in actuarial analysis
  • Strong knowledge of actuarial concepts and methodologies
  • Proficiency in using actuarial software and programming languages such as Prophet, R, or Python
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Strong communication and presentation skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a team and independently
  • Attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
