SAIPA Learnership Contract

A leading auditing/financial company is seeking a student or graduate accountant to fulfil a SAIPA Learnership at their company in Wynberg, Cape Town.

Responsibilities:

• Capture and process financial transactions

• Assist with bookkeeping and reconciliations

• Prepare tax returns (VAT, PAYE, Income Tax)

• Assist with drafting financial statements

• Support monthly and year-end accounting tasks

• Maintain client files and accounting records

• Use accounting software (e.g. Sage/Pastel/Xero)

• Provide admin and client support

• Attend SAIPA training and develop professional skills

Requirements:

• Based in Cape Town (Wynberg area or willing to relocate)

• BCom Accounting / Financial Accounting (or final year)

• Must have completed Accounting 3 (or currently completing it)

• Strong academic record & interest in accounting

• Good computer skills (Excel & accounting software advantageous)

• Keen to complete SAIPA articles and build an accounting career

• Good communication, professionalism & willingness to learn

• Ideally unemployed or available to start soon
