Quantity Surveyor – Construction industry Full Time

Hire Resolve’s client in the construction industry is urgently seeking the expertise of a Quantity Surveyor in Midrand, Gauteng.

Responsibilities:

• Manage all contractual and financial aspects of the project under the FIDIC contract.
• Ensure compliance with COTO standards and Construction Procurement Guidelines (CPG).
• Prepare and monitor project cost estimates, budgets, and cash flows.
• Conduct cost analysis and financial forecasting.
• Ensure compliance with the project’s contractual obligations.
• Review and prepare interim and final payment certificates.
• Measure and value variations and claims.
• Coordinate with engineers, project managers, and site teams for cost control.
• Conduct risk analysis and identify potential financial risks.
• Prepare and review procurement strategies and subcontractor agreements.
• Manage the preparation and negotiation of claims and dispute resolution.
• Ensure compliance with legal and contractual requirements in terms of cost management.
• Maintain accurate records and reports for audit and review purposes.
• Oversee earthworks and subgrade preparation, layer works and pavement construction, asphalt surfacing, drainage structures and stormwater management, and road signage and markings.

Requirements:

• Hold a Bachelor’s Degree or National Diploma in Quantity Surveying or a related discipline.
• Possess a minimum of 5 years of relevant Quantity Surveying experience.
• Demonstrate in-depth knowledge of the FIDIC contract.
• Have experience applying COTO standards and Construction Procurement Guidelines (CPG).
• Exhibit strong cost management, financial control, and forecasting abilities.
• Must be willing to travel to Limpopo for the project.
• Experience in road construction projects is advantageous.
