Job Title: Quantity Surveyor
Hire Resolves client is seeking a highly experienced and detail-oriented Quantity Surveyor to join their team in Stellenbosch, Western Cape. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in construction projects, excellent numerical and analytical skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:
– Conducting cost estimates for construction projects
– Monitoring project costs and controlling expenses
– Preparing bills of quantities and tender documents
– Analysing contractual agreements and resolving discrepancies
– Collaborating with project managers, contractors, and other stakeholders
– Conducting cost analysis and value engineering exercises
– Providing reports and updates on project budget and cost status
– Ensuring compliance with industry regulations and standards
Requirements:
– Cost control, BOQ, Cost management, Cost planning, and Cost reporting skills
– Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying or related field
– Minimum of 5 years of experience in the construction industry
– Excellent problem solving and analytical skills
– Strong attention to detail and accuracy
– Excellent written and verbal communication skills
– Ability to work independently and as part of a team
– Knowledge of construction materials, methods and regulations
– 7 years experience required
– CCS experience required
