Job Title: Projects Engineer
Location: Durban, South Africa
Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Projects Engineer to join our team in Durban. The chosen candidate will be responsible for overseeing and managing various engineering projects from conception to completion. The Projects Engineer will work closely with both the project team and clients to ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and according to specifications. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background, excellent project management skills, and the ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders.
Responsibilities:
– Lead and manage engineering projects from start to finish
– Develop project plans, timelines, and milestones
– Coordinate with project team members, clients, and stakeholders
– Monitor project progress and ensure compliance with specifications and regulations
– Identify and mitigate project risks and issues
– Provide technical guidance and support to project team members
– Conduct project reviews and evaluations to identify opportunities for improvement
– Ensure project deliverables are completed on time and within budget
– Communicate project updates and status reports to stakeholders
Requirements:
– Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field
– Minimum of 5 years of experience in manufacturing
– Large scale project management and implementation experience
– Optimisation experience of at least 3 years
– Strong technical knowledge and understanding of engineering principles
– Excellent project management skills, including the ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously
– Proficient in project management software and tools
– Strong communication and interpersonal skills
– Ability to work independently and as part of a team
– Experience working in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
