Pricing Actuary – Sandton Full Time

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage pricing activities in the Life and Health insurance field
• Develop and enhance pricing models and strategies
• Analyze market trends and evaluate risks
• Provide data-driven pricing recommendations
• Collaborate with underwriting and sales teams to optimize business performance
• Stay updated with the latest trends and innovations in the insurance industry

• Bachelor’s degree in Actuarial Science or related field
• Previous working experience in the Life (re-)insurance industry.
• Excellent knowledge of Microsoft packages (particularly Excel)
• Experience of coding 
• Strong technical, analytical and modelling skills.
• Takes accountability and can work independently.
• Produces a high standard of work with an appropriate level of attention to detail.
• Strong initiative and ability to manage multiple projects.
• Have an ability to network and cultivate relationships 
• Strong decision making abilities
• Recently qualified Actuary / Very nearly qualified
• Good working knowledge of MS Excel, Word and VBA.
• Good working knowledge of any of the following: SAS, R, Python, SQL.
