At Hire Resolve, we specialize in connecting top-tier talent with industry-leading organizations. We are currently representing a growing, reputable client in the Cape Town area that is seeking an experienced Payroll Manager to oversee their full payroll function.
This is a senior, compliance-critical position responsible for the end-to-end management of payroll operations. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in maintaining financial control, ensuring statutory compliance, and managing labour costs within a fast-paced environment.
Multi-Branch Management: Oversee weekly wage and monthly salaried payrolls across multiple branches.
Compliance: Ensure full adherence to all relevant South African legislation (including SARS, BCEA, LRA, and POPIA).
Reporting & Reconciliation: Manage payroll-to-GL reconciliations and provide detailed labour cost reporting to management.
Systems Oversight: Optimize payroll systems and manage time & attendance integration.
Strategic Control: Implement strong internal controls and standardize processes across all operational branches.
Education: Diploma or Degree in Payroll, Finance, Accounting, or HR.
Experience: 5–8 years of robust payroll experience, preferably within industrial, manufacturing, or similar high-volume sectors.
Expertise: Proven track record in multi-branch payroll environments and advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
Technical Skills: Strong knowledge of South African payroll legislation and experience with payroll platforms (e.g., Agrigistics or similar).
