Job Title: Owner’s Engineer Wind Turbine Generator Supervisor

Location: Randburg, South Africa

Job Overview:
Hire Resolve’s client in the renewable energy field is currently seeking a Wind Turbine Generator Supervisor to join their team in Randburg. The successful candidate will play a crucial role within the management team and oversee wind turbine generator installation through supervision including monitoring and evaluating project activities on-site on behalf of clients.

Key Responsibilities:

• Active participation in site meetings and conducting inspections of equipment and installations
• Ensuring compliance of equipment and installations with specifications, standards, and designs through thorough inspections
• Contributing to progress reports on quality, time, and budget
• Maintaining quality control systems
• Verifying payment milestones
• Reviewing, verifying, and providing comments on reports, drawings, etc.
• Reviewing and monitoring procedures for safe rigging, preservation, and storage of WTG components on site; reporting any non-conformance
• Coordinating activities
• Participating in commissioning and Factory Acceptance Tests

Qualifications and Requirements:

• Mechanical or Electro-mechanical qualification
• Experienced millwrights will be also be considered or the position
• 8 to 10 years of experience in the construction field and at least 5 years of experience as a wind turbine technician/engineer for installation or serving of wind turbines
• Experience in a Owners Engineer role will be advantageous
• Knowledge of local and international standards, construction processes, best practice and legislation
• Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel
