Millwright (Utilities) – 24-Months FTC Contract NEW

Description:
Hire Resolve’s Client is currently looking for an experienced Millwright to join their mining company based in Gauteng. You will be responsible for maintaining electrical and mechanical utility infrastructure, ensuring safe, reliable and compliant operation of critical site services and equipment.

Responsibilities:

• Perform planned, preventative and breakdown maintenance on site utilities and infrastructure.
• Maintain electrical and mechanical equipment supporting utility services and plant infrastructure.
• Carry out maintenance on medium voltage installations, overhead cranes, boilers, pressure vessels and associated equipment.
• Diagnose and resolve electrical and mechanical faults to minimise downtime.
• Conduct inspections and statutory compliance checks on utility equipment.
• Support maintenance projects, equipment upgrades and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Ensure compliance with SHEQ standards, engineering procedures and permit-to-work systems.
• Participate in risk assessments and planned shutdown activities.
• Maintain maintenance documentation and equipment records.
• Promote safe work practices and high engineering standards.

Requirements:

• Grade 12
• N3 or higher in Electro-Mechanical Engineering
• Millwright Trade Test Certificate
• Minimum 5 years’ experience as a Millwright (Post-Trade) within the mining industry
• Minimum 3 years’ experience with medium voltage (MV) switching
• Experience maintaining utilities and site infrastructure within a smelter environment
• Experience with overhead cranes, boilers and pressure vessels
• Strong electrical and mechanical fault-finding skills

• Salary: R600K – R720K P/A
