Logistics Supervisor – Logistics Industry Full Time

Hire Resolve’s client in the Logistics Industry is urgently seeking the expertise of a Logistics Supervisor to join their team in Durban, KwaZulu-Natal.

Responsibilities:

• Communicate with the Head office, contractors, and port agents regarding port plans
• Reconcile RMT and train transfers to the port from the Mining Group
• Reconcile and oversee stock transfers in port and stock transfers to staging and loading areas for vessel loading
• Manage and oversee the use and efficiency of third-party port assets, stockpile management, labelling, and scanning process
• Ensure the correct product is loaded
• Oversight of the SGS sampling procedure during the offloading of trains and RMTs, as well as during the shifting of Cargo and loading of the vessel
• Communicate and propose improvements in operational efficiencies

Requirements:

• Logistics/Supply Chain Degree or similar qualification
• At least 5 years of cargo and stockpile management experience at a port
• Must be computer literate, excellent Excel skills advantageous
• Good writing, reporting, and verbal communication skills
• Ability to meet deadlines
• Must be willing to travel and have a valid driver’s license
• Must be willing to travel to port after hours on an as-and-when-required basis
• Willing to travel to other ports in South Africa and Maputo
• Proactive and Confident
• Attention to detail
• Ability to work well under pressure
• Ability to work well independently and as part of a team
• Organizational and problem-solving skills
• Dedication to the tasks at hand and willingness to go the extra mile when needed
