Logistics Manager Full Time

Hire Resolve’s client is seeking a qualified and experienced Logistics Manager to join their team at the food manufacturing company in the Western Cape region. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing and managing all aspects of the logistics operations to ensure smooth and efficient supply chain management.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee and manage all logistics and transportation activities, including inbound and outbound logistics, distribution, and warehousing.
• Develop and implement logistics strategies to optimize efficiency and minimize costs.
• Coordinate with suppliers, customers, and internal teams to ensure timely delivery of products and raw materials.
• Monitor and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) to track and improve logistics performance.
• Manage inventory levels and ensure accurate stock control to prevent stockouts and overstock situations.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards related to logistics operations.
• Supervise and train logistics staff to ensure high performance and productivity.
• Identify and implement process improvements to streamline logistics operations and reduce waste.
• Collaborate with other departments, such as production, procurement, and sales, to align logistics operations with overall business objectives.
• Stay updated on the latest trends and technologies in logistics and implement best practices to continuously improve operations.

Requirements:

• A BCom Degree in Operations / Logistics / Business or related field
• At least 2 years in supply chain management
• At least 2 years’ experience managing a team
• At least 5 years’ experience in a FMCG industry
• Good, proven knowledge in Food Safety
• Proficient in using logistics software and Microsoft Office applications.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
• Valid driver’s license.
