Logistics Coordinator Full Time NEW

Hire Resolve’s client, a leading logistics provider in the Western Cape, is seeking an experienced and organized Logistics Coordinator for their team. The Logistics Coordinator is responsible for efficiently coordinating and overseeing all aspects of the logistics operations, including transportation, warehousing, and inventory management, to ensure seamless and timely delivery of goods. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of logistics principles, excellent communication and problem-solving skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

• Coordinate and schedule logistics activities, including shipping, receiving, and transportation, to ensure timely delivery of goods as per customer requirements and company standards.
• Collaborate with internal teams, including procurement, manufacturing, and sales, to gather necessary information for effective logistics planning and execution.
• Liaise with external stakeholders, such as suppliers, transporters, and custom officials, to arrange transportation and resolve any logistics-related issues.
• Ensure accurate documentation, including shipping manifests, bills of lading, and customs forms, are prepared and filed in compliance with local and international regulations.
• Oversee inventory management processes, including stock reconciliation, cycle counting, and inventory audits, to maintain optimum inventory levels and minimize stock discrepancies.
• Optimize transport routes and modes based on cost, time, and customer preferences.
• Monitor and analyze logistics KPIs, such as on-time delivery, order fill rate, and transportation costs, to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions.
• Continuously evaluate and negotiate with transportation providers and suppliers to ensure competitive pricing and high-quality service.
• Implement and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs) to improve efficiency, accuracy, and compliance in logistics operations.
• Stay up-to-date with industry trends, regulations, and technological advancements in logistics and propose innovative solutions to enhance the organization’s logistics capabilities.

Requirements: 

• A minimum of 3 years of experience in logistics coordination, preferably within the logistics industry.
• Proven knowledge of logistics principles, including transportation management, warehousing, inventory management, and customs regulations.
• Strong organizational, time management, and multitasking abilities.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with internal and external stakeholders.
• Proficiency in using logistics management software and Microsoft Office suite.
• Analytical mindset with the ability to identify and resolve logistics-related issues.
• Attention to detail and ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent qualification in logistics, supply chain management, or a related field is preferred.
• Fluency in English, both written and verbal.
