Job Title: Junior Accountant
Location: Johannesburg, South Africa
We are looking for a Junior Accountant to join our client’s team in Johannesburg. The ideal candidate will have a passion for numbers, a strong attention to detail, and a willingness to learn and grow in a fast-paced accounting environment.
Responsibilities:
– Assist with day-to-day accounting tasks, including but not limited to accounts payable, accounts receivable, bank reconciliations, and general ledger maintenance
– Prepare and maintain financial records, including journal entries and financial statements
– Assist in the preparation of budgets and financial forecasts
– Assist with audits and tax preparation
– Provide support to the senior accountants and financial managers as needed
– Stay current on accounting principles and regulations
Requirements:
– Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
– 5 years post-articles experience in Financial Accounting
– Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other accounting software
– Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
– Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
– Ability to work independently and as part of a team
– Willingness to learn and take on new challenges
