Intercompany Accountant – Logistics Full Time

Job Title: Intercompany Accountant – Logistics

Location: Port Elizabeth

Hire Resolve is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Intercompany Accountant to join our client’s logistics team. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of intercompany transactions and reconciliations, as well as experience working within the complex and fast-paced logistics industry.

Responsibilities:
– Prepare, review and reconcile intercompany transactions between multiple entities within the company
– Investigate and resolve any discrepancies or issues related to intercompany accounts
– Collaborate with other departments and subsidiaries to ensure accurate and timely recording of intercompany transactions
– Assist with month-end close procedures, including journal entries and account reconciliations
– Prepare intercompany billing statements and track receivables/payables related to intercompany transactions
– Monitor and communicate with counterparts in other entities regarding any outstanding intercompany balances
– Assist with the development and implementation of standardized intercompany accounting processes and procedures
– Provide support to external auditors during year-end audits

Qualifications:
– Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field
– 5+ years of experience in finance or accounting
– International accounting experience a plus
o Experience operating in a team environment
o Experience in both accounts payable and receivable functions
o Experience with foreign exchange transactions
o Must have good working knowledge of Excel spreadsheets (Advanced Excel abilities)
o Cargowise and Freight Industry experience will be advantageous
o 5+ years of experience in an accounting environment
