A prestigious private estate is seeking an experienced and dedicated Estate Garden Manager to lead the upkeep and operations of all external grounds.
Key Responsibilities
Oversee and manage the day-to-day operations of all gardens, grounds, and outside estate areas.
Direct, lead, and supervise an established team of 14 garden staff.
Manage water resource systems, irrigation, and overall property water management.
Coordinate and oversee all external maintenance activities, ensuring the highest standards across the entire exterior property (excluding interior residential maintenance).
Requirements
Proven experience in a senior horticultural, estate management, or head gardener role.
Strong leadership and team management skills, with a track record of directing ground staff.
Comprehensive knowledge of South African flora, landscaping, and exterior property maintenance.
Solid experience in water management and irrigation systems.
Strong organizational, planning, and communication abilities.
